nokshiLABS

About

Built thread by thread.

Nokshi means a hand-stitched decorative pattern. In traditional hand-embroidered quilts, plain thread, simple running stitches and patience turn layers of ordinary cloth into something beautiful and strong. We named the company after it because that is how we want to build software.

Where the name comes from

What is a nokshi kantha?

A nokshi kantha is a traditional hand-made embroidered quilt from Bangladesh. Layers of soft, worn cloth are stitched together by hand with simple running stitches, and those stitches slowly build up rich patterns of flowers, birds, everyday scenes and stories.

Each quilt is made by hand, often over months, and no two are the same. Nothing is wasted: old fabric gets a new life, and the patterns are passed down from one generation to the next. A nokshi kantha is both useful and beautiful, made to be lived with for years.

That is the spirit we bring to software: patient, careful work, one stitch at a time, until the whole pattern holds together.

Care

Small things matter

A clear message to a guest, a receipt that adds up, a report that opens fast. We sweat the details nobody notices until they are wrong.

Craft

Where we come from

From running stays to building StayOps.

StayOps came from running serviced apartments ourselves: bookings from several channels, owners to pay every month, staff to coordinate and cash to account for. The tools we needed did not exist in one place, so we built them, and then turned them into StayOps for everyone who runs places people stay in.
